RESIDENTS have objected to plans which would see an Accrington pub expand with the construction of a conservatory.
The licensee of the Peel Park Hotel on Turkey Street has applied to Hyndburn Council planning bosses for permission to build an extension for a dining area.
But worries have been expressed by residents and the council that the building could affect the privacy of nearby houses.
Now a number of conditions have been imposed on the project, and the council have received a petition against the plans signed by 18 neighbours.
The petition is accompanied by a statement from the residents, which raises fears about the potential noise, parking problems and privacy.
The plans are likely to be passed by the council's planning committee at a meeting on Wednesday, June 2.
But the council have now imposed a set of conditions on the development, which they say will help solve the potential problems.
Today nobody at the pub was prepared to comment.
