A 33-YEAR-OLD man was true to his word after going to Darwen police station and warning officers that he was going to cause trouble at his partner's home.
Blackburn magistrates heard that shortly after, officers were called to an address in Darwen where Peter William Cork was shouting at his girlfriend and threatening to damage her father's car.
The court heard that Cork was banging a kettle against a fridge and shouting, and his behaviour frightened the three children present who were all in tears.
Cork, of Dove Lane, Darwen, admitted a breach of the peace and was bound over in £50 to keep the peace for 12 months.
Daniel King, defending, said that after a disagreement the lady had prevented Cork from seeing his daughter.
"He was furious and went to see the police about it," said Mr King. "They said they couldn't get involved and in his temper he acted in a way that was totally unacceptable."
