A TEENAGER is in hospital after having his throat slashed on Friday night.
The 18-year-old was attacked with a glass outside The Grapes Inn in Bury New Road, Prestwich, at about 11.50pm.
Police are appealing for witnesses to the incident.
Det Sgt Lynne Vernon, who is leading the investigation, said: "The victim could have died as a result of the attack. He is now in a stable condition in hospital, but has been very seriously injured and has lost a lot of blood.
"It seems there were four males at the scene, when one of them attacked the victim with a glass. We believe the offender was also injured in the attack and suffered a cut to his wrist."
Witnesses should contact Whitefield CID on 0161 856 8248 or CrimeStoppers on 0800 555 111.
