A 23-YEAR-OLD pedestrian from Prestwich was killed when he was struck by a car.
Asif Hussain, of Lowther Road, Prestwich, was struck by the blue Ford Ka on Knowles Street, Radcliffe, close to the junction with Watson Street, at around 10.50am on Saturday.
The car then ploughed into two stationary cars at the side of the road.
Mr Hussain was taken to Bury's Fairfield Hospital where he was treated for serious head injuries, a fractured skull and multiple fractures to his body.
He was later transferred to Hope Hospital, Salford, where he died later that day.
The driver of the car, a 23-year-old woman from Radcliffe, and a 25-year-old woman, also from Radcliffe, were arrested at the scene and later bailed pending further enquiries.
Detectives are investigating and today appealed for any witnesses to come forward.
