CLITHEROE stole the honours in their local derby clash with Ribblesdale Wanderers in the Veka Ribblesdale League.
Neil Bolton scored an unbeaten 82 as Clitheroe set a target of 172-7 and Mark Hargreaves took 5-41 as Wanderers struggled to 127.
Ribblesdale's John Braithwaite was last man out on 48 as he went for a big hit attempting to reach his first senior half century.
Spin bowler Andrew Jaggers led Earby to victory over neighbours Barnoldswick with 7-29. The Applegarth club's professional, Mohammed Ayub scored 77 and Barnoldswick's Michael Scothern took 5-67 as Earby reached 199-8 and the visitors were dismissed for 133.
Read continued their march to the top by taking maximum points from their clash with Padiham, who scored 132 with professional Kasif Siddique leading the way on 55. Read won by four wickets with some of their strongest batting still to come.
Marc Burrows (46) and professional Zahoor Elahi (37no) helped Cherry Tree to a seven-wicket win over rivals Blackburn Northern.
Edenfield's Aussie professional Adam Webb scored 70 not out as his side reached 189-6, but Baxenden secured victory with pro Jonathan Harvey scoring 56.
Settle professional Robin Morris took 5-62 as Whalley recovered to 121-9 after losing their first five wickets for just 15 runs.
Stuart Hornby scored 63 not out as the Dales side secured a three-wicket win. Indian professional Raja Ali scored a half century as Oswaldtwistle reached 127, but Great Harwood secured a comfortable eight-wicket win.
