STAFF at Thwaites Brewery raised a glass to toast Avril Haworth on her retirement after 35 years of loyal service.
Avril joined Thwaites as a clerk-typist back in 1969 before moving to secretarial duties, and later held the post of personal assistant to various board members, including managing director, Paul Baker.
She has also been involved in promotions, public relations, sales and community work.
Avril said: "I have really enjoyed getting out doing things and meeting people. It was very exciting and I thoroughly enjoyed my long association with the company."
Mr Baker added: "She was a highly valued, popular and well-respected colleague and we wish her all the best in her retirement."
