A TEAM of Rossendale whizz-kids have scooped the Lancashire Mathematic Challenge title for their number-crunching skills.
Year seven pupils Melissa Burnham, Katie Ross, Thomas Law and Kieron Bradford, from Whitworth Community High School won the annual competition.
Each school from across the district entered a team of four at Bacup and Rawtenstall Grammar School, who won last year's competition.
Teachers say the competition helps to encourage teamwork and help pupils gain an appreciation of the value of maths.
The Lancashire final will be held at Woodlands High School in Chorley later this year.
