IS it not time for fish and chip shops to carry a government health warning before selling their products?
During the war government posters advertised 'Fish, chips and peas, a well balanced meal.'
I don't think this would apply today. I have yet to visit a chip shop that doesn't sell fish swimming in fat and chips that are soggy and coated in fat.
No wonder chemists are now going to be able to sell certain drugs over the counter. Perhaps it would be more appropriate to be able to buy these drugs along with your fish and chips to reduce your cholesterol levels.
Better still, I've decided not to buy these greasy apologies for a well-balanced meal.
