VOTERS in Turton have finally received their postal ballot forms, days after residents in the rest of the Blackburn and Darwen borough got theirs.
The voting packs landed on doormats in the parish yesterday while most households had theirs by the weekend. The delay was thought to have been caused by the fact that Turton's ballot forms were sent from a Bolton Royal Mail sorting office, while the rest were sent from Preston. Turton councillor Colin Rigby said some residents had been worried about not receiving the packs. He said: "The whole thing has been a nightmare for some people and when the packs didn't show up they thought they weren't getting them."
