TINY Elicia Clark may only be eight months old but she's already making a big splash for charity.

The bathing babe is about to take to the water for a 60-minute splashathon.

Elicia will join other tiny pals at Waves, in Blackburn, for the mini-marathon in a bid to raise vital funds for Tommys, the premature and stillborn charity.

Her fundraising feat on June 16 will take on an extra special meaning because her brother, Richie, was stillborn in October 2002.

Proud mum Emma O'Connor, 23, of Hamilton View, Great Harwood, said: "I have been taking Elicia swimming since she was three or four months. She's taken to it like a duck to water. She loves splashing.

"On the day, Elicia and the children will splash around in specially-designed inflatable boats."

Emma and Elicia's dad, Peter Clark, 24, hope Elicia's effort will generate bumper funds for the Tommys charity.

Emma added: "The charity has special meaning for us because we lost our son when he was stillborn, so Elicia will be splashing for her brother."
