HELP is at hand for East Lancashire war veterans as the 60th anniversary of D-Day approaches. Volunteers from the local branch of the Soldiers, Sailors, Airmen and their Families Association are at hand for people who require specialist support and care because of their unique past experiences.
Their volunteers have a wealth of experience covering issues such as health and mobility difficulties and other welfare matters like debt. They can give simple friendship visits and help filling in forms.
For more information or to become a volunteer phone 01772 260462.
