CYCLISTS from across the UK are expected to flock to Colne for the East Lancashire Bike Fest later this year.
The cycling extravaganza will include a string of events for amateur riders as well as the Colne Grand Prix, involving the British Cycling Federation.
The 50-lap race around a 1km town centre circuit will be held on July 21 and is expected to feature up to 100 of the nation's best bikers. It is one of a national series of 10 races.
It is hoped that the Great Britain Olympic track endurance team might be able to fit the event into their schedule before their departure for Athens.
