ASTLEY & Tyldesley hosted the 13th annual cycle speedway festival meeting, sponsored by Motor Body Services of Salford.
First up was the Novices event. A & T's Daniel Swales headed the qualifiers, winning through to the final. In the final Swales' challenged was ended by a fall. Second was Bury's Leo Brindley, with A&T's John Nuttall third and the unlucky Swales fourth.
In competitive Intermediate event A&T's Warren Mee finished fourth. A strong international line-up assembled for the Senior event. A&T's Przemek Binkowski finished second and Wlodarczyk 4th.
Astley & Tyldesley Miners' Welfare-CTA Direct travelled to Hull for Round 3 of the Northern Fours and Junior League series and finished second.
