FIVE churches are to combine for a "better together" service.
On June 27 St John's Church at Mosley Common will host a Unity Service for the Churches Together in Boothstown.
Congregations from St John's, St Mary's, St Andrew's, Holy Family and Boothstown Methodist Churches will worship together at 6pm.
A new steering group set up to bring St John's, St Stephen's and St George's Churches together as a team will meet on June 23.
The vicar of St John's, the Rev Julian Hartley, will be joined by parishioners Ann Haigh, Dave Barnes and Walter Smith on the committee.
Mr Hartley, said he had been privileged to have the former C of E Bishop of Liverpool David Sheppard and the late RC Bishop Derek Warlock, who called the people of the church to work together, preach from his pulpit.
