RADCLIFFE British Legion will stage a parade on Sunday in honour of those who took part in the D-Day Landings .
Veterans and youth organisations, including the local Army Cadet Force, will leave the Legion headquarters in Water Street at 9.50am and march to the cenotaph in Blackburn Street where there will be a short service of remembrance.
The parade will return to the British Legion for a buffet.
Also on Sunday, the Bury branch of the Royal Naval Association will lay a wreath at 9.45am at the war memorial outside Bury Parish Church.
Young and old alike will be paying their own tributes to the Normandy Landing veterans when the Seven Stars pub in Rochdale Road, Bury, holds a D-Day Party from noon.
The event includes a 1940s music disco and guests are invited to wear dress of that era.
