ALL Bury voters should now have received their ballot forms for the June 10 local and European elections.
Council officers say that they delivered all ballot packs to the Royal Mail by Tuesday's (June 1) deadline: and they have not been told of any major problems, such as people receiving the wrong list of candidates.
They do say that residents are using the council's elections helpline for queries. The most common question is whether a person can have their identity verified by their spouse, to which the answer is "yes".
Another common question is over the Euro election. People are concerned that they cannot vote for an individual within any of the party lists. The council points out that this, the closed list proportional representation system, has been adopted by the Government. Voters can cast only one vote, either for one of the parties or for the single independent candidate.
