RADCLIFFE-based A&E Threads has been honoured by the Business Commitment to the Environment (BCE) awards, for its sustainable business programme.
The company, which manufactures threads for the trade and consumer markets, has been honoured for its programme of energy-conservation measures, recycling initiatives, pollution-control measures, improved conditions for employees, cost savings and contact with the local community.
With funding from ENWORKS, the region's environmental business support program, and strategic advice from Groundwork's Business Environment Association programme, the company received national recognition by winning a Premier Award.
