IT'S time to get big-hearted and join The Citizen team in raising money for the British Heart Foundation.
Once again, we are proud to be backing the charity's annual fund-raising Blackpool 3 Piers Walk, taking place this year on Sunday, September 12.
The route takes in Blackpool Prom and all three piers, and is a great way of helping to fight heart disease, one of Britain's biggest killers.
So if you want to raise funds for BHF by enjoying a sponsored late Summer stroll down the Prom, keep an eye on future Citizens for details!
In the meantime, why not step up to the challenge of raising a mountain of cash during BHF's Big Red Fightback?
BHF wants to raise £1 million, by asking everyone to join together to climb the equivalent of the world's highest mountains 21 times - that's about 100 million steps.
Get sponsored 1p for every step and help BHF fight heart disease.
The event starts this Saturday and runs until June 13. All you need to do is get yourself sponsored, then hit the stairs at home or at work, get on the stepping machine at the gym, do a spot of step-aerobics or literally climb a mountain!
Your target could be the 40 steps it takes to climb the height of a double-decker, or the 1,036 steps it would take to reach the top of Blackpool Tower!
To find out more, log on to www.bhf.org.uk/fightback or telephone 0800 028 2091.
And if you're taking up the Big Red Fightback challenge, why not let us know about it? Contact Nikki Masters on the newsdesk by e-mailing nikki.masters@blackpoolcitizen.co.uk or telephoning on Blackpool 292005. Good luck!
