I AGREE with Winnie McKenna of Oswaldtwistle that many chip shops in the area sell what she terms 'greasy apologies for a well-balanced meal'.
There are, however, certain exceptions to this. One of these is situated in Clayton Street, Great Harwood which I visit once a week. The fish are delicious with a crispy batter and the chips are dry and not greasy.
Customers come from miles around. Last week people sitting at the same table as myself said they came from Burnley. I have also spoken to customers in the past who came from Preston.
It's not just a local 'chippy' serving the people of 'Snuffy Harrod!'
