TWO men were taken to Blackburn Royal Infirmary last night after being thrown from the car in a road smash.
The young men, whose identities have not been released by police, were said to have suffered serious injuries, not believed to be life-threatening.
They had been travelling in a Vauxhall Omega down Haslingden Road, turning right into Bennington Street, when it collided with a Mitsubishi Lancer on Haslingden Road, Blackburn.
A man in the Lancer was arrested further up the road after he ran from the vehicle following the accident, which happened at around 7.30pm.
