ON Bank Holiday Monday, I boogied down to the Darwen Music Live festival. And what a musical gem it was.
Everyone from groovers to grandads had turned up to watch the legendary Buzzcocks.
When the stage exploded with noise, a group of men beside me began jumping with glee. Punk rock had become dad rock, and they were in heaven.
I never saw the Buzzcocks live the first time round, as I was only a toddler.
But 27 years later they can still bang out a good tune. And I couldn't help but sing along to "Have You Ever Fallen In Love?"
The festival is a credit to the town. It just gets bigger and better. Can't wait until next year.
