THE body of a man was found hanging from a tree in woods in Accrington, police revealed today.
The 20-year-old male was found by a member of the public.
Police have not revealed details of the man's identity because not all next of kin have been informed of his death.
His body was discovered hanging from trees in woods off Plantation Road at around noon on Saturday. Inspector Phil Davies, of Blackburn Police, said an investigation had been carried out and officers had ruled out any suspicious circumstances.
Inspector Davies said: "The local man was found by a member of the public hanging from a tree. He was known to have a history of depression and there were no suspicious circumstances surrounding his death. The death is being treated as a suicide."
