POLICE in Blackburn have appealed for information after receiving reports of a man carrying a gun in the Delph Road area of Audley Range.
Officers searched the area after a member of the public rang them shortly before 9pm on Fridaybut they did not find the man.
He was described as an Asian male, between 30 and 35 years, wearing a white jacket and dark trousers with a handgun tucked into his belt.

We also want to make people aware that the Firearms Act has been amended and carrying an air weapon or imitation firearm whether loaded or unloaded is an arrestable offence. Previously it only applied to loaded weapons.
"We had a good look around the area but couldn't find this person."
so if anyone else saw him we would like to hear from them."
