THE Little Harwood bus has been taken away from the station bus stop on Railway Road to Ainsworth Street, and a bus stop and a shelter have been put on a little car park for the Training 2000 off Sutton Street.

It's a long walk from Morrison's to Ainsworth Street for the old people with shopping, yet they have put that bus stop for the young people at the Training 2000. They can walk all right, but my wife, who is 80, can't walk far - she has bad legs and can't get her breath.

When we go to Morrison's it costs us £6 there and back. It's time the Little Harwood bus was put back to the station stop again.

FOOTNOTE: A spokesman for Blackburn Borough Transport said the change was made in May 2003 "in an effort to improve the reliability of the service which was being adversely affected by general traffic congestion in Railway Road.

"Track 14 did revert to operating from Blackburn Boulevard for a brief period in December 2003 following the sudden withdrawal of services operated by another operator.

"Once again, however, general traffic congestion resulted in service reliability being adversely affected and the town centre terminus returned to Ainsworth Street from December 10 2003."
