THE revival of Bury Carnival brought smiles from organisers and visitors at the weekend.
Not only was the event a success with about 10,000 people attending, but Sunday's gala basked in blue skies and warm sunshine.
After an absence of one year, Bury's premier annual event came back with a bang. The carnival, which was staged on the Mosses car park, featured numerous stalls, sideshows and attractions which brought in the crowds.
Officials of the Bury Lions' club, which took over the running of the event again after four years, were delighted with the turnout.
