I agree wholeheartedly with P. Smithson (Letters, June 10) in the splendour of Sunnyhurst Wood, Darwen.
I regularly partake in walking through Sunnyhurst and I enjoy the of colour and bask in awe of the beauty of the countryside.
The flowers area magnificent in full bloom and I feel that Alan Titchmarsh would approve of such a fine array.
Imagine my horror and dismay when reading the following day's Lancashire Evening Telegraph to find a letter suggesting that prostitutes should use the wood as their base for their extra nocturnal activities.
I know this is a problem, especially in my neighbourhood, but putting them into conservation areas would surely create problems that I can't even bear to think about.
