PLANS have been unveiled for a new petrol station off the A59 near Barrow, in the Ribble Valley.
If it gets the go-ahead, it will be the only petrol station on the main road between Osbaldeston and Gisburn.
The application has been submitted to Ribble Valley Council by Milton Keynes-based firm Margram Holdings, but the firm has not disclosed which oil company would run it.
It would be located next to the McDonald's fast food restaurant at the Ribble Valley Enterprise Park close to Clitheroe.
Car washes, a car vacuum and shop would also be included in the scheme. The company would also want a 7-metre high sign to advertise petrol prices.
When McDonald's opened its restaurant, it faced a battle to get a sign outside its premises after councillors argued it damaged the scenery around it.
A decision will be taken by councillors about the plan.
