SCHOOLFRIENDS of tragic Fylde teenager - Leanne Edmundson - have commemorated the first anniversary of her death by planting floral tributes in her memory.
Leanne, 13, of Blackpool Old Road, died after being hit by a car on her way to St George's High School, Cherry Tree Road, Marton, on June 20, last year.
The Year Eight pupil was remembered by fellow pupils who planted rose bushes and laid flowers along school railings in her honour during a special ceremony on Monday, June 21.
The school - led by headteacher, Elizabeth Warner and Leanne's parents, George and Dahlia - are also set to open a memorial garden for Leanne within the school grounds during another ceremony on June 30.
