WAS it just a coincidence that your usual claim of 'fairness' was omitted from the foot of your letters column?
Whilst I have always thought it should not be possible to change sides either in local or national government without facing a by-election, I do not recall you complaining when the former councillor from Mill Hill did just that last year.
Why do you insinuate that the "real progress" you claim has been made cannot continue without a coalition including the Labour Party?
Opportunism just means taking one's opportunities and should not be used in a pejorative sense as you -- and the Labour front bench -- do.
