THE re-opening of a Pilsworth restaurant gave the outgoing Mayor and Mayoress of Bury a Mexican wave on the couple's last official engagement.
Councillor Wilf Davison and his wife, Maureen said goodbye to a year in office with a Mexican meal at the newly-refurbished Chiquito.
The restaurant on Park 66, Pilsworth Road, sported a new interior design, and has created ten extra jobs. Members of the Bury business and leisure community also joined the mayor for the relaunch, hosted by general manager Chris Yale.
Councillor Davison, who has handed over his mayoral chains to Councillor Barry Briggs, said: "It was a wonderful evening and an enjoyable way to finish off an exciting year.
