A BURY cyclist successfully completed a gruelling 160-mile trek to raise money for a children's sports club.
Kieran Coe, from Tottington, completed the course along with workmates Gareth Cosens and Brendan Coe from the Burnley-based Scott Dawson Advertising.
The trek along the Cheshire Cycleway, took place over two days to raise more than £30,000 for the Bolton Lads' and Girls' Club which aims to encourage children through sport.
More than 53 cyclists from 20 teams took part in the event, which was started by Olympic cyclist, Yvonne McGregor.
Kieran, who put in several months' training, is hoping to have raised more than £1,500 for the club.
He said: "The event was very well organised and a sense of achievement went some way towards nullifying the pain."
