GRAHAM Barrow has secured the services of 22-year-old midfielder Dwayne Mattis on a free transfer from Huddersfield Town on a 12 month deal.

"I'm delighted Dwayne has chosen to come to us, he had three other offers from Division Three clubs, but he chose us," said Barrow.

"He is a different type of midfield player to what we have and played a lot of games under three managers at Huddersfield.

"His style is very similar to Jason Jarrett, and Dwayne is the first of four or five new faces to arrive and we are all delighted that he is here."

The six foot, Huddersfield born, midfielder joined his home town club in August 1998 as a trainee, progressing through the ranks into the Terriers' first team, where he played 52 games for the Yorkshire side, scoring three goals along the way.

The Ireland Under 21 international forced his way into midfield and retained his place after injuries to Chris Beech, followed by the departure of Craig Armstrong which paved the way for a long run in the team after an impressive series of cameos from the bench.
