THERE will be plenty of clowning around and animal capers at Bleakholt Animal Sanctuary on Sunday when the shelter holds its open day.
Splodge the Clown will entertain children and there will be plenty of stalls to keep adults occupied.
As well as raising money for the shelter, the open day is also aimed at introducing the public to the shelter and the work it does caring for unwanted animals.
The sanctuary is grateful for any donations of pet food on the day. Doors open at noon until 4pm.
