AN explosion ripped through a Darwen bungalow leaving a family of three homeless.
Flames shot through the roof of the modern bungalow on St Aidan's Avenue, following a loud explosion which was heard for miles around.
Luckily no one was hurt in the blast. The owners were at work when the incident took place, but returned home just in time to watch their roof cave in.
