I WAS pleased to read in the Lancashire Evening Telegraph that MP Nigel Evans is one of 79 MPs signing a Commons motion to end the obscene practice of bile extraction from captive bears for traditional medicines in China.
There are many herbal alternatives which are abundant and effective.
Sadly bears in the wild are trapped, transported, kept permanently in tiny cages and suffer pain every day for the rest of their lives.
