DETECTIVES were today still trying to trace four men involved in a robbery on a Pendle jewellers.

Three men burst into Humberstones, in Gisburn Road, Barrowford, and used a lump hammer to smash a display cabinet, making off with a haul of luxury watches including Rolex and Cartier worth thousand of pounds.

The men then got into a Volvo car, registration P3 PGM, driven by a fourth man which was abandoned 500 yards away behind the Victoria Pub.

A dark Volvo or Mercedes was then seen leaving the back of the pub in the direction of the M65.

Police are still making inquiries into the robbery which happened shortly before 2pm on Tuesday, and are liaising with colleagues in Blackburn to establish whether there is a link between a robbery on the company's Blackburn branch in April.
