RELATIONS between Rossendale Borough Council and local private landlords have been boosted with the launch of Rossendale's Accredited Landlord Scheme.
And three local private landlords received awards for their good practice at a ceremony held at the Astoria, Rawtenstall, yesterday afternoon.
James Neary, Christine Peet and Dr Katherine Howell, who all own properties in the Valley, were presented with the award by Deputy Council Leader Judith Driver.
The Rossendale Accredited Landlord Scheme was launched at the event with its main aim being to improve conditions in the private rented sector.
It follows similar schemes set up in other parts of Lancashire to set a code of practice and property management standards.
