LOCAL hurdler Sharon Walls ran second in the Under 23s AAA championships at Bedford.
The 19-years-old Leigh Athlete who runs for Wigan Harriers won her 100m hurdles heat in 13.66 to go through to the final where she finished second in a time of 13.60.
She is now looking forward to the AAA Championships' Olympic trials in two weeks time at Sport City, Manchester.
