PRIMET Primary School, Colne, has gone to the top of the class for pupils' efforts to improve their environment.
The school came first at the 'Our Place, Our Pendle' school awards for work on their playground, and sow and grow and flower planting schemes, winning a trip to Malham Cove, in North Yorkshire. Joint second were St Philip's CE Primary, Nelson, for improvements to its playground and recycling; and St Mary's CE Primary, Newchurch, for a tree planting scheme. Third was Marsden Primary School, Nelson, for paper recycling.
