SPORTING ex-pupils went back to Bedford High School for the official opening of a new community sports area.
After old boy Michael Tonge of Sheffield United cut the ribbon to declare the pitch open, school head Mr Stephen Preston said: " We're delighted these sporstmen have been able to take time out from their busy and successful careers to do this for us.
"Who knows how many more Leigh sportsmen and women will benefit from the upgrade of local facilities like this and the Sports Village. These facilities are first rate, and open to the community as well as the school."
