BROTHERS James and Patrick Fullerton will always remember their much loved grandma -- and the Queen's golden jubilee.
Two years ago while they were driving in the Cheshire lanes with pappy, Harold Baskeyfield and his late wife Muriel, they were fascinated by acorns lying around an oak tree.
They asked if they could collect some and when they arrived at Harold's Golborne home they sowed them in pots.
Two years on and the saplings which grew have been planted at the bottom of Harold's garden in memory of Muriel, who died in November last year, the drive and the royal jubilee.
Ex-Leigh police detective Harold said the boys, aged nine and seven respectively, who live with mum, Kay, in Elm Street, Leigh, and are pupils at St Joseph's RC Junior School are both keen nature lovers.
He said: "They will be able to watch the trees grow as they grow and they will always be a reminder of their grandma."
