GREEN HALL Primary School in Atherton hosted its third annual Industry Day last week.
Local pupils with special needs took part in activities ranging from baking bread with Warburtons staff to riding a horse simulator with National Jockey Trainers and making towers with BNFL engineers.
Firemen gave classroom talks before pupils went outside to see a fire engine in action.
Local police officers with vans "locked up" some of the children while blasting their Blues and Twos!
A motorbike police officer wheeled his bike into the hall so the children could sit on and have photos taken and two police dogs gave demonstrations on how to catch criminals.
The pupils also made trips to McDonald's in Tyldesley and Tesco's in Atherton for behind-the-scenes looks.
Green Hall secretary Barbara Critchley said: "The children loved the whole day. Without people taking part, the day is a non-starter and we are very grateful for everybody's time."
"Green Hall is currently under threat of reorganisation but staff give100% in making it a success. An independent adjudicator is visiting on Wednesday June 30 to decide the school's future."
