PUPILS, teachers and anyone previously linked to St Peter's Primary School, Darwen, are invited to a party next week to celebrate the work of one of its teachers.
Susan Leonard will be leaving the school for a well-earned rest after a long teaching career in the town.
An event will be held at St Peter's, on Turncroft Road, on Wednesday between 6 and 9pm, to mark her retirement.
Susan has worked at the primary school for the last 18 years and previously worked at Holy Trinity Primary School, in Bank Top.
Organisers of the celebration hope to get as many people as possible to attend. Any former colleagues, pupils or parents should contact the school office on 01254 701299 for an official invitation.
