A NEW super health centre in Atherton is hoped to be open earlier than planned.
The centre - the first of its kind in Greater Manchester - will house GPs, physiotherapy, podiatry, health visitors and treatment areas.
It was originally planned for February next year but it is hoped the centre will be open in January.
Three current GP surgeries will move into the centre, which is off Bag Lane, Atherton. The new centre is one of three planned under the Ashton, Wigan and Leigh Trust under a new government scheme.
