RE footballs in the street, I have had two windows broken in the past and had to pay for them myself as I could not prove any culprit.
I am a widow aged 73 and have been out to the children to ask for them to play elsewhere, but like many others, got abuse and they did more to aggravate me.
There are lots of reasons why they should not be allowed to play football in the street, that lots of your letters printed covered, but may I suggest to everyone who does not know, should read the Highways Act 1980 which does state: "It is an offence to play football in the street." Enough said.
