BLACKBURN high schools are hosting Olympic festivals for their local primaries.
Pleckgate and Witton Park high schools are hosting Olympic themed sports festivals this summer, involving over 200 students from across Blackburn with Darwen primary schools.
The festivals are organised by Year 10 and 11 students training for a Junior Sports Leadership award, a scheme being run by the School Sports co-ordinators at Blackburn with Darwen Borough Council.
Pleckgate High School were hosts last week, with local primary schools Roe Lee, Lammack, St Gabriel's and Hawthorn Junior schools taking part. Today Witton Park are the hosts, with local primary schools St Aidan's, Longshaw Juniors and Griffin Park schools.
