A TWO-FOOT long, dark grey snake thought to be poisonous, was discovered by the works cat at Scapa Dryers stores, Griffin, Blackburn.
It was believed it had come from a bale of cotton which had been sent to the business from India. Two police officers - PC Moss and PC Hoddie - had the dangerous task of catching the snake and taking it to the abattoir where it was killed humanely.
