POLICE are appealing for witnesses after a pensioner was threatened with a sharp object by thieves who stole his car.
The man disturbed the thieves as they tried to steal the car from his driveway in Maple Avenue, Whitefield, at 10.20pm on Sunday.
Before the pair drove off in the Honda Civic, they warned the 70-year-old man to stay away and brandished a sharp object. The car's registration number is K313 BRJ.
One offender is described as a white male, aged between 15 and 18, five feet eight inches tall and of slim build. He was wearing a black neck warmer and dark clothes.
