POLICE are waiting to interview a man who was attacked by a gang of up to 15 thugs, some of whom were armed.
The 32-year-old man, who had his mobile phone stolen, sustained minor injuries following the assault which happened in Wash Lane, Bury, at 10pm on Saturday.
Officers said yesterday they were due to interview the victim with the aid of an interpreter.
Police say one of the offenders approached the man and engaged him in conversation. The thug then waved his hand and a gang of between 12 and 15 people arrived at the scene and attacked the man before his phone was stolen.
