BARBADOS beckons after the Siddle family's luck came up to scratch.
The family, of Fir Street, Ramsbottom, could choose a holiday anywhere in the world after they picked up a winning National Lottery scratchcard.
Dad Philip (53) had already won £2 with one card, and went along to Ramsbottom Co-op to buy two more.
He immediately scratched to uncover three camera symbols, netting a mystery prize that turned out to be £5,000 in holiday vouchers.
Philip, a semi-retired textile operative, will be taking the two-week break next spring with his wife Susan, a nurse at Fairfield General Hospital.
They will be joined by 19-year-old son Craig and his girlfriend Laura Bond. Philip said: "My legs went like jelly and I had to ask the people in the supermarket to check it.
"They shouted out that I had won and we got it confirmed a couple of days later. Everybody was thrilled -- especially us.
"We go on holiday every year but this is something else, it's the holiday of a lifetime."
